The project involves the construction of a web-based input form for the PDAP-PPSE Farm and Household Profile, some 16 pages of questions to project beneficiaries on, among others, household income, farm income, land use practices and current crops. Data inputting and editing is currently being done by a team of encoders in the 10 sites through internet cafés, thus removing the need for a centralized encoding process.

The current 2001 survey comes as a mid-project measurement of impact after another baseline survey conducted in 1997. PDAP regularly conducts project impact assessment of its development initiatives in the Philippines - and thus the need for this web-based survey technology is all the more highlighted.

The AAT web-based technology also generates summary information tables to be used a jumping point for data analysis. The system user may interactively choose which variable he would like to work with, upon choosing that, generates the tables he needs on demand.

This PDAP information infrastructure will be built from the ground up using PHP/MySQL on a FreeBSD server operating system platform. Asia Allied will be deploying a sub-team of three (3) high-caliber programmers and two (2) versatile web developers to complete this project. Target project completion date is November 30, 2001.
